 'Kasturi-2020' a vibrant, intriguing, and exciting four-day (8th to 11th January 2020) annual event organized by our college in inner lawn of our premises.

The fest commenced with a warm welcome of our Chief Guest Prof. Ashwini Kumar Bansal, Vice Chancellor, Surajmal Brij University, Bharatpur in revered presence of Justice Pranchand Jain (Retd.), Chairman of Kanoria Girls College Trust and Shri Vimal Kumar Bhatia, Secretary, Kanoria Girls College Trust.
Prof. Ashwini Kumar Bansal enlightened the students with his inspirational words and emphasized on the importance of women empowerment and law education. Principal, Dr. Seema Agrawal addressed the audience with significance of youth fest and expressed her gratitude and homage to Swami Vivekananda.
It was fascinating event of four-days, which gave immense opportunities to students to showcase their talent. The teams from different colleges of the state marked their presence in various inter-college competitions, involving their intellectual, physical, creative, knowledge and literary skills. There were several intra-college competitions as well, allowing students to participate in traditional activities such as mandana, rangoli and many more.
The last day of Kasturi brought more fun to the event through sports competition for students along with non-teaching and teaching staff. This was followed by ‘Mela’ which encouraged students to learn and earn using their skills. The closing event, fashion show gathered much attraction.  This event showcased meaningful fashion trends displayed by emerging models of various colleges.

Science- Exhibition

 Science Exhibition (Charts and Models) was organized by B.Sc. Part-I students (Zoology/Botany/Chemistry/Physics/Biotechnology/Mathematics) on 11th December, 2019. Students showcased their talent on various interesting and relevant topics. They were appreciated by the viewers.


Life Science Association Guest Lecture

 Life Science Association organised a guest lecture on ‘Avian Fauna of Jaipur‘ by Dr. Manoj Kulshreshtha for UG and PG students (Zoology/Botany) on 4th December, 2019. All students got the knowledge of variety of birds found all over Jaipur regions.


Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary

Department of Physics celebrated Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary on Oct.15, 2019. Around 200 students participated enthusiastically in the full day event. Activities organized included a Documentary film on Dr. Kalam's life, a speech by a student, Physics Quiz competition, Working Model & Poster making competitions and a lecture on "Raman Effect".


Science Quiz Competition

 Life Science Association conducted ‘Science Quiz Competition’ for students of Zoology, Botany and Biotechnology on 6th November, 2019. All students participated enthusiastically and updated their Science knowledge.


Workshop on Professional Development

Center for career Guidance Training and Placement organised a 15 days (17th September 2019 to 02nd October 2019) workshop on "Professional Developement". The aim of the workshop is to polish the soft skills of the students and to make them corporate ready.


Life Science Association Activity

Life Science Association conducted "Species Identification Activity: Flora & Fauna" for UG and PG students (Zoology/Botany) on 25, September, 2019. All students participated enthusiastically and got the knowledge of Taxonomy on Flora/Fauna.

Hands on Workshop

Hands on Workshop on "Tools and Techniques in Molecular Biology" conducted for PG students (Zoology) on 19 and 20, September, 2019 in association with Seminal Applied Sciences Pvt. Ltd. All students are benefited by it.

Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Event Management Workshop

 Centre for Entrepreneurship Development organized a one day Workshop on Event Management in collaboration with Vedatya Institute, Gurugram. About 108 students participated in the workshop and learned intricacies of event management as a profession and an enterprise. In last session, students were divided in 4 groups and each group presented a event management plan with complete budget plan. 


Poshan Maah Celebration

 Hostel inmates of Kanoria College Girls'Hostel were made aware about 'Paushtik Aahar'. An interactive and informative session was conducted in association with Indian Dietetic Association, Rajasthan Chapter and Home Science Department, Kanoria College. The speaker for session was Dr. Swati Vyas, Associate Professor, Department of Home Science, IIS University.


Centre for Career Guidance, Training & Placement

 HIRE MEE conducted a one day Career Counselling Session and Placement assessment online exam on 04/09/2019 by Mr. Sandeep Gupta. It was a very beneficial session for the students.


Freshers Party 2019

Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya organized Freshers Party on 31st August 2019. Day started with inspiring words of Director Dr. Rashmi Chaturvedi and Principal Dr. Seema Agrawal, who encouraged students to make best use of facilities given to them and reach highest ladder of success. Meritorious students of first year securing more than 95% marks in class 12th were given scholarships. Around 44 girls decked up in colorful dresses participated in the catwalk, to motivate girls Ms. Rajasthan 2019 Kanchan Khatana, alumnae and famous singer Ms. Deepshikha Sharma and Ms. Sakshi Singh judged the competition, in which girls won various titles.
Neha Deol won the title of Miss Fresher, First Runner up Apoorva Jain, Tejal Sharma was the Second Runner Up, Hritambara Joshi won the title of Miss Charming, Sejal Arora Miss Fashionista, Prakriti Prakash won the title of Miss Ice on Fire and Parmeshwari bagged the title of Miss Rapunzel. Altogether it was fun filled event.

Educational Tour

 Semester II and IV year  students of geography  department  visited Assam, Maylinguong ,Shillong on an Educational  Tour from  25th to 31st March 2019. Students did survey - Socio- economic study and instrumental  survey. 


Metal Matrix: Nano-Composites: Synthesis and Characterizations

 Department of Physics conducted an extension lecture

on "Metal Matrix: Nano-Composites: Synthesis and Characterizations" on 

February 23, 2019 for PG students of Physics and Chemistry. The speaker for

the lecture was Dr. Rahul Singhal, Assistant Professor, MNIT, Jaipur.

Annual Function- 2019

 College organized its Annual Prize Giving Ceremony and Graduates' Reception on 5th February, 2019. The programme started with lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest Honourable Shri Sachin Pilot, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Rima Hooja, Historian, Archaeologist and Writer, College Director, Dr. Rashmi Chaturvedi, Principal, Dr. Seema Agrawal and Student Union President Ms. Sakshi Tanwar. Dr. Sarla Sharma, Dean Student Affairs presented the toast to the budding talents of the college. Ms. Aditi Soni, student representative shared her experience of student life in the campus. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the meritorious students in Academics, NSS, NCC, Sports, Dance, Music, Debate, Highest Attendance and for all round performance throughout the academic session. Ms. Shraddha Sharma (B.Com. Part- III) won the Daisaku Ikeda Trophy.


Impact of English Legal System on Indian Society

 Department of History organised a guest lecture on the Topic "Impact of English Legal System on Indian Society" on 14 December 2018. 


Extension Lecture

  An extension lecture on "Quantum Mechanics - The Weird Science" was organized by the Department of Physics on December 5th, 2018.


History Movie Show

  Department Of history organized a Movie show "Gautamiputra Satkarni "on 5th  Dec 2018 for the students.


Interactive Session on Stress Management Techniques

  An Interactive Session on Stress Management Techniques was organized by Commerce Association on 15thDecember 2018. It was conducted by in house faculty Dr.Surabhi Sharma (Department of Business Administration). In this session, students were introduced by innovative methods of Stress Management.


Working Model Competition

 A working model competition was conducted on December 5, 2018, by the Department of Physics for UG and PG students as part of Science Exhibition. Best four models were awarded. 


Poster Making Competition

 Department of Physics organized a poster making competition on "Is there Physics outside the  Classroom and Laboratory too ?" on December 5, 2018, as part of Science Exhibition. Best four posters were awarded.


Science Exhibition

  Chemistry department organized a Science Exhibition on 5th December 2018 for B.Sc. students. Principal Dr.Seema Agrawal inaugurated the exhibition. Students prepared models covering different topics like Water Boat, Sewage Water Treatment, Nuclear Power Plant, Global Warming, Rayon Fibre, Water Cycle, Jumping Sodium, Bohr's Model, Periodic Table and Electrolysis Process etc.


From 25 models, Nuclear Power Plant by Uzma Bano and Group (B.Sc. Part-I Bio) got 1st prize, Sewage Water Treatment by Pooja Jat and Group (B.Sc. Part-I Bio) and Electricity Generated by Piezo Road by Poonam and Group (B.Sc. Part-III Bio) got 2nd Prize and Rayon Fibre by Priya Rathi and Pooja (B.Sc. Part-II Maths) and Global Warming by Preeti and Group (B.Sc. Part-I Bio) got 3rd Prize.


For motivation to students, two Consolation Prizes were also given to Waste Water Management by Radhika Jain (B.Sc. Part-II Bio) and Bohr's Model by Sana Qureshi (B.Sc. Part-I Bio).


The exhibition judged by Dr.Nidhi Gupta, Rukhsar and Dr.Shachi.

The exhibition was very creative, educative and informative.


Green Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry

A seminar via Power Point presentation was organised by Department of Chemistry on 28th November 2018 for the students of B.Sc. Part- I, II and III. The topic for presentation was "Green Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry".

This seminar provided a great platform to the students for sharing their views and improving their presentation skills. 

Extension Lecture – Quantum Chemistry

 An extension lecture was organised on the topic of ‘Quantum Chemistry’ for the students of under-graduation, on 17th December 2018. This lecture was delivered by Dr. Krishan Kumar Jhankal, from University of Rajasthan. He discussed all the aspects and prospects of quantum chemistry, covering the topics of the curriculum of graduation course.



 A movie screening was organised for all year B.Sc students on 15th December 2018. The title of the movie was – ‘UNLOCKING POWER: TARAPUR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT’ It is a motivational movie shot by National Geographic on the journey of the nuclear fuel from a reactor to electricity in our homes. Students participated in huge numbers and made it a great success.


Design a Composition- Using Texture

Department of Drawing & Painting organised one day workshop titled " Design a Composition- Using Texture" on 8th September 2018 for the UG /PG students of the Department.


Social Science Association

 "Mayane Aazadi ke" Special program on the occasion of Independence Day by Patrika Tv on 8th August 18 "Be the change maker" where students expressed views on role and responsibility of youth, meaning of Independence and how they can contribute for country's unity, growth and development.


Soil health card project-Skill Development

 Students received certificate for conducting training program successfully.

 Sukriti - Art and Craft Club organised "Rakhi making" workshop on 01st August 2018.

 NSS organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with HDFC Bank, Jaipur. Students, Faculty members and Non-Teaching Staff donated blood and total 50 units were collected during the camp.
