Prominent Alumnae

Our Alumnae

The college is well-known because of the achievements of its former students in academics, athletics, and the performing arts. Through the Alumnae association, it continues to maintain its ties with them. By participating in "Kasturi" (the youth week), the sports day, and other college festivals, the association offers them a venue to reminisce about their glory days in college. Let us fortify the spirit of Kanoria and create a future as outstanding as the past.

Dr. (Mrs.) Vandna Dangi (1982)

Managing Director, Libord Finance Limited

Kanoria College was more than just an institution of learning for me, it was the place where I imbibed maturity and self-confidence to be fearless in my ideas. The faculty was outstanding and through their motivation and love for education, we developed awareness about the world around us. I was a student of Economics Honours at Kanoria and I had abundant resources at my disposal. A well-equipped library, brand new hostel facility, sprawling playgrounds and a variety of extra-curricular activities to participate in. The Principal of our College Ms Terway knew us all by our names and that was so amazing! It was about thirty-five years later that I returned to the college for a National Seminar and I was pleased and proud to know that the excellence I had seen years ago, thrives today as well. Kanoria college has made tremendous progress in all spheres and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be a student at this fine institution.

Kanoria College gave me some of the best years of my education. I found amazing batch mates, teachers and an environment of growth in the college. I thank all my teachers for providing such great support to all the students and invest time & effort behind each student. I wish this college keep producing bright students in future. I shall always be grateful to all my teachers who allowed me to work on my initiative called LAB - Lend A Book, which involved all the college student volunteers who actively participated in Book donation drives across the city and made sure books reach in the hands of underprivileged students. I think I found the right kind of value system match when I was pursuing my undergraduate and helped me present a research paper at John Hopkins university, USA.My best wishes and support as an alumni shall always be with the college.

I was quite a reserved and shy kid in school, but kanoria college helped me shape up my personality and transformed me into an independent and ambitious woman. I pursued Bcom pass course and passed out in 2018 from the college. Kanoria college gave me the flexibility to focus on my dream of becoming an actor. During and after the college I had worked in different TV and theatre shows and my biggest break was to act as Irrfan Khan's wife in Angrezi Medium.
Today when I look back, I realise that teachers and my friends in college motivated and encouraged me to be where I am today. I feel proud to be a part of the Kanoria family.

Aanchal Puri

Represented Indian youth delegation to China

The right combination of guidance and motivation which are indispensable for students, led to my selection for the Republic Day parade at Rajpath followed by my speaking a few words in the presence of Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister at Rashtrapati Bhawan, I was fortunate enough to receive the prestigious Rajasthan State Award for Best NSS student which indeed made me realize the impact of college on me. Another opportunity of a lifetime came by when I was to be a part of the Indian youth delegation to China in June 2010 sent by the Government of India. Quality learning for me came with each day being spent at the college as I saw myself realising my aspirations in the future.

My three years in Kanoria College were of immense growth. It was here that I developed a serious love for literature, which not only fulfilled my academic aspirations at that time, but also became a constant source of holistic growth. It was after interacting with the faculty members here that I started not just to read but to feel literature and understand it as a discourse of human beings and their circumstances. Here, I decided to take up a profession which involved writing and interacting with people. Studying in Kanoria also gave me an exposure to public speaking. Each year the inter-college elocution contests, debates etc. added more vigour to the curriculum. This is the place where I met some of my best teachers, people who have shaped the person I am.

Represented India in 2nd SAARC Youth Summit

NO KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT COLLEGE! My 3 years of graduation from Kanoria College have brought the best out of me. I had never imagined that I would get the chance to represent the country but it was only because of my teachers' support, trust and guidance that I represented India in the 2nd SAARC Youth Summit at Chennai and the South Asia Youth Summit in Delhi organized by UNICEF. From all those Youth Summits organized at Chennai, Amritsar and Jaipur to the countless Hindi & English elocutions, group discussions & competitions, from the literary club of the college and the NSS activities to the Best Outstanding Student Award my professors had always encouraged, appreciated & corrected me all the time. This always helped me to learn & become better with every step.
