On September 28, 2026 the department of Mathematics in association with the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS), organized a Vedic Mathematics Workshop to develop students’ mathematical aptitude, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Seema Agrawal, Principal, who welcomed the resource person, Mr. Naveen Bhargava, Founder and CEO, Aryan Mathematics.
Vice principal (academics) Dr Ranjana agrwal introduced students with centre for Indian knowledge system. Through interactive demonstrations and practical activities, Mr. Bhargava introduced the students to various techniques of Vedic Mathematics, focusing on rapid and accurate calculation, mental mathematics, mathematical patterns, simplified calculation methods, logical reasoning, and conceptual thinking. The students learned how appropriate mathematical techniques and patterns can make complex calculations simpler, faster, and more engaging, while also strengthening their mental calculation and problem-solving abilities.
95 students, along with assistant professor of the department Dr Swati Choudhary actively participated in the workshop. The session provided students with an opportunity to explore mathematics from a practical, innovative, and engaging perspective and appreciate the relevance of traditional Indian mathematical techniques in contemporary learning.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Rishi Dassani, Head of the Department, who expressed gratitude to the resource person and participating students for making the programme successful.
