An inter-college event Mathstaza was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

An inter-college event Mathstaza was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya on the occasion of the 137th birth anniversary (National Mathematics Day 22 December) of the great Indian mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp. College Principal Dr. Seema Agarwal welcomed all the participants. Teams from 7 different colleges of the city participated in the Math Mania Quiz Competition, in which the team of Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya got the first as well as second place. Teams from 8 colleges participated in the Riddle Relay Race, in which the team of Maharaja Mahavidyalaya got the first place and the team of Subodh Mahavidyalaya got the second place. Finally, a treasure hunt competition was organized, in which mathematical questions had to be found and solved. 10 teams from various colleges participated in this competition, in which the first place was secured by Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya and the second place was secured by Maharani Mahavidyalaya. At the end of the program, all the winners were awarded by Principal Dr. Seema Agrawal, Head of Department Ms. Rishi Dassani and all the teachers of the department. More than 200 female students and professors of the department participated enthusiastically in the program.
